Our Illness Polices and Procedures

Given that children work and play in such close proximity, they will inevitably pass on germs quite easily.

To help prevent this we have been issued guidance on infection control by the Public Health Agency, which outlines the recommended periods of time that children should be kept away from school following illness.  This is the advice that we follow when issuing guidance to parents, and it recommends that children should not return to school for a period of 48 hours from the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea.

On this page, you will find a range of information that will support you with the information you need when making decisions about whether your child should be in school.
