Our Long Term Plans

Our curriculum has grown and changed over the years as we’ve learned more about what our children need. This year, we’ve given it a complete overhaul. We’ve already completed two exciting terms — Shine Bright; My Journey and Bright Lights, Big City — each filled with rich experiences, purposeful talk, and plenty of chances for children to explore the world around them. We’ve kept the heart of what has always worked well for our small village school, but we’ve made learning clearer, more connected, and more meaningful from EYFS right through to Year 6. We’re also looking closely at the Engagement Model to support our most complex learners and strengthening our use of adaptive teaching so every child can take part, feel confident, and make progress. It’s still very much “us,” just refreshed and ready for the children we have today.
