Our Curriculum Intent
At Rodmersham our enquiry based and thinking skills curriculum aims to provide our children with the ability to be:
Independent, creative, reflective, team workers and enthusiastic, effective and confident participators.
Our aim is to ensure that all children leave Rodmersham not only prepared for the next step of their school career but to be caring, confident and resilient students who thrive on challenge. They will embrace global issues and be technical ‘savvy’ and well prepared for the world beyond education.
Our children will plan and carry out research and explore ideas from different perspectives and support their conclusions through evidence. They will share these ideas with increasing confidence in oracy skills; building upon vocabulary as they travel through the school.
They will ask questions to extend and challenge their thinking and the thinking of others with confidence and adapt their ideas accordingly; reviewing their success and acting upon feedback from others to improve. They will actively listen to others.
Our children will work with great resilience and be confident enough to seek support and help where needed.
